Meet Alex

Hi! I’m Alex: a tattooer based in Los Angeles, California.

Growing up between New York and New Jersey in the early 90s, I’ve always been fascinated by punk and hip hop subculture and classic 1930s rubber hose cartoon animation. I love adding these unique stylistic elements into neotraditional, afro-americana and black and grey tattoo designs.

As a former television executive for both JJ Abrams’ BAD ROBOT and Lena Waithe’s HILLMAN GRAD PRODUCTIONS who has also written contributions for Marvel Comics, I know the value of creating a story and capturing the emotion behind each of my pieces.

My designs feel like a child sitting at the grown-ups’ table for the first time: refined and elevated but with a hint of playful, mischievous wonder still just beneath the surface.

Tattooing is more than an art form to me. Body positivity and mental health advocacy are two of my biggest driving forces to help my clients look and feel their most confident inside and out.
